Discover the ancient technique of Lost Wax Casting and learn how to create, carve, melt, and bring to life your very own ring.
Jewellery Making in the Wild.
You can create a piece of any size, whatever you dream of, a ring, pendant or talisman, I will talk you through the history of lost wax casting. The tools to use. The wax itself. The process.
We will then sketch the designs and discuss mood board curation/ searching Pinterest and the web for inspiration.
We will then carve, warp, melt and manifest your finished pieces .
The pieces will take 2 weeks to cast into a metal of your choice and a further week for me file, sand, saw and polish them into perfection.
The pieces are then ready for collection in my Santa Eularia workshop but can post anywhere in Europe for 10 euros (Worldwide shipping price quoted on the day).
The Investment
£125 / € 150 per person to create and cast a finished piece in brass.If you love what you have created and would like to upgrade to Sterling Silver then we can decide on the day and I’ll tell you the costs per gram.
We can also gold dip them once they are cast if that’s something you are interested in.

Advanced classes can continue on a 1-1 basis, to further develop your skills. Including stone setting, carving and silver smithing techniques.
After The Workshop...
The next step will be to pick a metal, and a professional to cast your piece. This process isn’t included in the cost of the workshop, but I’m more than happy to recommend local ethical casters.
The cost of casting will depend on the weight of the piece and material used, but a ring in sterling silver would be around £30, 9ct yellow gold would be about £150 and 18ct yellow gold would be 300+ (not including VAT).
We’ll weigh your piece in wax so you have a clear idea of the cost in metal.
